CONTEXT
Having a deep interest in film, the desire for adventure, and a passion for the arts, I dedicate my spare time outside of my usual design work to other pursuits such as worldbuilding and storytelling through concept art. This niche has served as an avenue for learning new techniques, as well as improving my understanding of theories, color, and lighting.
THE OUTPUT
Through a mix of photo bashing and digital painting, both are fictional scenes that I conceptualized, inspired by sci-fi and fantasy films such as Avatar, Dune, and Raya and the Last Dragon. For these pieces, I focused on balancing values, creating depth, and adding contrast, with the theme of wonder and discovery in mind.
